LIVE SOUND ENGINEERING
Steve has an excellent ear for live sound, having crafted a wealth of knowledge and experience from being the lead sound engineer at his own venue for 7 years. He has sound engineered countless gigs, including double Grammy award winner Albert Lee, The Bluetones and Chris Helme from The Seahorses.
Heading out solo or as a small team, we provide a fully mobile set up based around the industry standard X32 mixing desk and can set up anywhere from small pub gigs, to venues and small festival stages and tents. We can also accommodate existing PA systems, with experience on various mixing desks. All microphones, stands, cables etc provided.
We also offer a live recording service, ie we can come and set up anywhere (including gigs) to record your songs via multitrack, which can then be taken away and mixed/mastered professionally at Sonnet Studio. Ideal for demos, live albums or promotional activity.
"Steve’s attention to detail is second to none. I’ve worked with many engineers in my time, and he’s really up there with the greats. I trust him, and I know my music is in safe hands."
Chris Helme (Ex Seahorses)
“Working with Steve was a real pleasure. A skilled live sound engineer, who works quickly and with clear communication.”
Mark Morriss & Adam Devlin (The Bluetones)
"Fantastic sound engineer who really knows his stuff. A great ear and a nice fella to boot. 100% recommend him" Tony Martin, EMUS - Muse tribute band.
