A relaxed space where artists can truly feel like part of the process, from recording to mixing, with expert advice along the way. 

I am as easily at home either recording from scratch in the studio, or taking existing audio and mixing in remotely, Ideal for artists who have already recorded at home but want to take their songs to the next level.

 

As a one time DIY musician, I want to break down the barriers between musicians and sound engineers. It can be daunting, especially early in your career to get in touch with a studio who you feel might judge your songs, recordings or ability (we wont!). Sonnet is a quirky, warm, inviting space, with an engineer who has seen and done it all, and just wants to get the best out of you and your music.  If you are enjoying it, it truly comes across in the record.

 

Sonnet Studio is hidden amongst the hills of Yorkshire in an un-assuming ye-olde village, but still very accessible (train station approx a mile away). With a park literally on the doorstep, and a good selection of cafes/pubs, it’s the perfect place to take a break, unlike other studios often found in the middle of industrial parks. In fact, the Yorkshire Dales are just a hop, skip and a jump away!

• Recording sessions. Ideally suited to solo or small groups. Bigger bands can be accommodated and recorded at a remote studio.
